as far as cost they are pretty much the same. the reason for using a distribution block is basically for people with a few amps but for just 2 amps its optional.

the reason full kits are a waste is because they are designed to reach to the trunk space area. 4 channel amps generally get mounted under the front seats so you have like 10 feet of extra power wire.

also since i did forget something you will need to buy a roll of speaker wire as well for wiring the new speakers to the new amp. http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?category=TCA%20Speaker%20Wire you'll need like 50 feet of the 10 gauge.

ya i was afraid of that backorder thing. there was 1 left when i linked it. so ya just order that one its the same.

i'm not really sure what you mean by the general guideline thing? like a step by step of what to do or what?

the amp installation is pretty straight forward except for the 4 channel amplifier will require you running new wires to all 4 of the door speakers.


I'm really just trying to understand the concept of what goes where, which wires go to what, where they need to be routed, etc.

don't bother with a distribution block. i forgot you already bought new terminals so a distribution block isn't really more convenient or anything for your situation.

the short black wires on each amp are the ground wires.

aside from the picture you will also be running RCA+remote wires from the head unit to the amplifiers. you'll run these with the power wires for each one.

the 4 channel gets the 8 gauge wiring kit and the monoblock gets the 4 gauge.

when you run the power/rca/remote wires to the trunk you will hide them underneath the plastic trim pieces on the interior. once you reach the rear seat you will run it up beside the seat and into the trunk.

when you run the power/rca/remote wires to the 4 channel you will probably be better off just running them as direct as possible instead of trying to hide them completely.

The fact that you filled in my crappy paint diagram with the placement is just awesome.
This certainly clarified my questions with the wiring, now are the speakers/speaker wire connections on the amp/speakers themselves similar to that of an in home stereo? Like, just place the wire in the hole and it has a clip to hold it in place or how does that work? Soldering wires to the spots on the speakers?

Or do I need multiple?

the speakers themselves will have slip on terminals. this just means putting a female end on the wires and slipping them on the speakers terminals.

the amplifiers have screws you attach the wiring on to.

and you only need 1 set of those. you will have 3 pairs of RCA wires total. 2 come with the wiring kits and then that one. use the knukonceptz ones on the 4 channel and the t-spec pair on the monoblock.

I'm trying to line up my entire parts list right now, ready to buy everything (aside from the sub and the box, which I'm going to buy next pay).

I run my rca's on the opposite side of the power cable
