5 band is common on cheaper head units these days but nicer ones have 8 band which i prefer.
and ya the price adds up after a while. $200 for a full sub setup isn't expensive in the long run though.
oh damn... so the head unit I got is pretty outdated huh >.<
It was an okay deal still... $50 and it has bluetooth, aux, usb. Had to get the harnesses and kit and those connectors which totaled another $50
I should be able to do the speakers myself then

I think i'm going to be ordering them to niagara or buffalo with some other parts and just cross the border to get em... get a few friends to save on gas too
