to get any real low end performance is going to require a subwoofer. door speakers are designed to play mids/highs.

as for specific settings thats going to be something for you to figure out. i can't even remember the last time i used a basic 3 band equalizer. i'm use to have precise settings over specific frequency ranges lol.

How do you get to use a better equalizer setting? Is it with a higher end head unit?

And are speakers easy to DIY or should I bring it to a professional?

the speakers are easy to do. at most you'll have to undo a few plastic clips and take out a few screws. wiring them is just 2 wires.

5 band is common on cheaper head units these days but nicer ones have 8 band which i prefer.

and ya the price adds up after a while. $200 for a full sub setup isn't expensive in the long run though.

It was an okay deal still... $50 and it has bluetooth, aux, usb. Had to get the harnesses and kit and those connectors which totaled another $50

I should be able to do the speakers myself then
I think i'm going to be ordering them to niagara or buffalo with some other parts and just cross the border to get em... get a few friends to save on gas too

3 band is fine for most people it just means you can't do fine tuning.

Another question about ohms... how do you calculate that? i think my unit is 4 ohms so I'm able to use 4-8 ohm speakers?
The speakers you linked were 4ohms, would that be each speaker or how to I match it to see if it's fine?

thats 4 ohm each speaker. head units aren't rated for less than 4 ohms usually and 8 ohms restricts wattage so you don't want to use 8 ohm speakers.

i did some youtubing and still unclear, they say usually 2 ohm are good and 4 ohm are usually for people who want to use amp and subs. are all those things referring to the unit or speakers?
