for $215 that l7 is garbage. you could get a sundown sa-12 for $195 with free shipping that is much better.

on the amps most mainstream brands are similar quality. 500(maybe 600)rms@2 ohms will be what you are looking for. best buys site sorting and product information sucks so you can get model numbers and them compare them on http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ 500-600rms @2ohms, good signal to noise ratio, cea-2006 compliant are going to be the main specs to look for.

that amp is too much power for your electrical system you would have a drained battery in under an hour even with the car running so you would end up stranded if you turned the car off.

amperage=rms watts/14.4. 14.4 is the standard voltage of your electrical system and the voltage your amplifier performs correctly at.

yes i'd definitely go with the mb quart of that polk.

no real reason to get two of them. you can only run the amp @2ohm power so 1 sub@500rms will be about the same as 2 subs@250rms each. with this power range just get a single sub.

http://www.soundqubed.com/ the sdc2.5 series subs are fine as well. the 15 or 12 would be the way to go on these.

I mean the reason I am selling what I have now is to get something a little better for a little cheaper.
Like I said, the system in it now is perfectly fine. But I would like a little lower end and honestly I just want a little better overall quality.

Or maybe just something smaller

that mb quart+1 of those dual 4 ohm alpine subs would be fine. the main difference is going to be that the alpine sub hits lower.
