run the power wire on the side the battery is located on under the hood so you don't have to worry about it being too short in the end.

yes the power wire connects to the + terminal. yes the fuse should be under the hood area not back near the amp.

correct on the silver speaker wire.

you may want to consider purchasing a new + battery terminal for making the wiring easier.

Really wish I would have taken more electronics courses somewhere though. Feel semi retarded right now.

you're thinking its more complicated than it actually is. all you really do is run 3 wires to the trunk in reality.

I agree with everything here except that you can run all the wires (power, RCA and remote) on the same side of the car for subs.
Subs are loud and stupid and won't know the difference. Plus you will save yourself some time.

yep more of a peace of mind thing for me but with even cheap rca wires being fairly well shielded these days its far less of a problem.

i'm sure back in the day though it was probably pretty necessary.

I hear ya man, I did the same thing for my first two installs but then I got hired at a car audio shop and learned it doesn't matter unless it's a 4-channel.

Might be an insanely stupid question. But say I ran the wires all along the same side, and just as a precaution. I sprayed the RCA cables with Plastidip. I'm sure at least Subwoofer knows what this shit is... Would that help insulate the rca cable to further prevent feedback?

No, millions of people have already ran all their wires on the same side of the car. Millions of people have never had any feedback problems.
If you're worried about it, man, it won't hurt to separate them. Just do it how you want to! :)

rca wires are internally shielded. the feedback it might come across is electromagnetic so the only way to shield it is with metal which they've already done.

i still run them separately just because even if its an off chance i don't want to have to risk any interference. i admit this is more paranoid than you need to be but i still prefer it.

Noticed one thing. The MB amp says it requires 4 gauge wiring. But that wiring kit is 8 gauge. Would I need to get this guy instead?
