true. hey i really appreciate the help. i'm actually kinda interested in maybe updating the speakers as well later on. I really don't care for a strong bass, but I don't want it to be absent, you know? I'm looking for more quality in I guess the acoustics and what not. Idk something that can play a song like hotel california well. If you can decipher that and help me out haha that'd be cool.

a nice set of amped components in the front and some amped midbass drivers in the rear would probably do it for you.

something like:

http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/sundown-audio-sa-6-5cs-6-5-component-set.html

http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/sundown-audio-neopro-6-5-100w-pro-audio-style-6-5-midrange.html

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44579_Kenwood-X450-4.html cheaper option on the amp just to keep price down but this amp would be fine.

depends on their size. what year/cab model?

for example if you have 4 6.5inch speakers and then 2 5x9 speakers i'd generally suggest not bothering replacing the 5x9s and just remove/unhook them.

2010 quad cab I do believe my dad has some 6x9 focal speakers he picked up awhile ago that maybe i can stick in em, that's if they fit.

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/VehicleFitGuide.aspx this website says front is 6x9 back is 5.25
