Cool story bro, really, cool story. Have any more about my original questions? I think a bass knob is in order..

Volume goes to 65, sub sounds good there, but after 45/50 the car speakers start cracking and sound like crap.

I wonder if I could use or convert a stock dimmer switch into a bass knob?

turn the gain up and it should peak at lower volumes.

turn the gain all the way down...put your head unit on 45/50 then start adjusting the gain.

bass knobs are just remote gain controllers. their only purpose is to make it easier to control your gain settings without having to adjust it on your amp directly.

It gets really loud if you take an extension cord and cut the female end off and hook it up straight to the sub. MAD BASS YO.

I hooked the rca cables to the rear outputs and its sounding good..I just pushed more power to the rear to quiet down the Walmart speakers up front.

You guys can joke all you want but at the end of the day this little system can be heard clearly about 20 foot away, and it gives you a helluva nice back massage sitting in the front seats. Oh..and I don't have any of those nasty trunk rattle noises, although I did have to stick a piece of felt behind the license plate.

This is the difference between ballin on a budget and dreaming on an empty wallet... And I didn't have to gut my car to turn it into a speakerbox. If you sit in it, and crank it up, your hair tingles a little. If that's not loud enough you can kiss my ass. It's really not shabby for 250$ worth of speaker equipment in a CLEAN 300$ car with 103k miles that gets me 34+mpg which will probably carry me to work and back every day till it hits 250k...and I drop a z5 or BP in it and drive it some more.

Paid 500 for my car can sell it 2500 if I really wanted to after putting 1 grand or more in the car. Drives like a dream with a shit ton of horsepower. Cool story bro tell it again
