oh golly gosh i didnt know the head unit didn't produce its own power....how enlightening.

no one gives a crap.

once the head unit is attached to that remote wire then thats the DIRECT on/off controller for your amps plain and simple.

there are other ways to get power to the amp without using the remote wire hooked up to the headunit and still have it on only when the headunit is on....and im not only referring to the toggle switch method.

those "other ways" are worse and thats exactly why head units are designed to do it.

no one gives a crap about ghetto rigging a remote wire when their head unit already does the job perfectly.

there are plenty of ways to do this to get the job done "perfectly" without using the head unit. face it what you said had flaws in and i pointed them out. stop being so narrow minded and condescending and you might learn a thing or two.

all you are doing is pointing out obviously worse solutions that no one since the 80s has had to bother with.

the day the head unit had remote turn on integration is the day all those other ways became obsolete.

this is true. but you should still be getting 12v to the + and - terminals when its off. thats a fact.
so if you hook a multimeter or just voltometer up to it and you really arent getting power... might wanna trouble shoot that.

thats an obsolete method outlawed in the 1980's and is considered ghetto diognostics

The whole idea of a remote/ignition wire is pretty black and white, If you wanna change something that has no reason to be changed your gonna end up stuck somewhere with a dead battery.
