First pull your deck if its aftermarket and although it may be frowned upon turn it on with it out of the dash. Fiddle with the wires see if you get any noise from loose connections. Repair as needed. If This didnt work there is a clip/harness its a pain but go get how ever many butt splices or quick splices as there are wires on the amp. clip one at a time and reconnect turn the stereo on with each wire disconnected. Do this for all but the power, ignition + and ground wires. if this doesnt isiolate your problem you may be stuck unless you wanna rewire from said splices to the speakers or cut the amp out of the loop.
If you do this make sure you have a correct wiring diagram.

Yah those are ok too but just as easy to ground the outer ring on the channels.
If Oem started building shit the right way it would be my dream come true....

sounds definately like a grounding issue.. i've ran into this with my show truck ( at the bottom of my profile)


i found a slightly broken wire in the cabling to the drivers door ( most used door) .. i simply re-wired the entire stereo with a heavier gague wire than the stock, and it went away.. this isnt always easy as theres a lot of hidden places you have to fish wiring through, or even take car panneling apart to re-wire..

if this is a stock stereo, you should be able to find the wiring specs on their website, or simply google it.. if its aftermarket deck, should be labeled right on the head unit itself, or in the users manual.. if you dont have the manual.. google the deck..


i used a 16 gague household speaker wire to replace the existing 22 guage.. better sound, deeper bass, better performance all around.. just remember to solder the connections, or get the crimping collets for the wires/connectors...

Thanks. Im procrastinating like no other haha. But yeah I'm guessing its a ground issue too. the aftermarket speakers were gettin rigged to shit. but it never head a problem. A heavier gauge sounds like a good idea even if it is just disconnected some where.
