I ran 1000 off a 1 farad cap and a decent but well aged battery, and stock alt and I never had dimming issues, guess Ill find out soon when I throw this new amp in I gotta do the big 3 soon tho!

iv got the big 3 but its not zero gauge so its kinda gay

iv already got an extra wiring kit to hook up another amp but im probably going to do all zero gauge and get this 10 farad rockfordfosgate cap

I have some 4 gauge stinger wire laying around, has to be better than what's there I guess haha.

Battery stores power. It can only take so much. Caps store and steal power from the alternator when power is needed to run the amp

Takes alot less to charge a cap then a whole battery.

a full size battery also adds much more load to the alternator however which makes it work harder. a cap or a battery on top of an underpowered alternator are both bad plans.

So my alt wich is doing fine even without big 3 will do worse with cap + big 3...? I find it hard to believe this... remember im only running 1k wrms atm

That's why you would get a power cell rather then a cap or batteries.

a power cell is a battery. the difference between AGM power cells and old wet cell batteries is the acid is is glass matts instead of being a liquid so its more efficient. its less of a strain than traditional batteries but it would still be better to have a single AGM cell than a regular battery and AGM cell. you don't want to use more than 1 battery if you don't have to. the only reason competition level people have those battery banks is because you simply cannot get an alternator that would deal with the power draw they use and battery banks supply temporary power sources for them.

so 1 good AGM battery is the ideal setup for daily use setups. AGM batteries can handle up to 4000 watt range with a single battery so unless you daily use more than that you only really need 1.

My bat is 60ah... sonic and other places says 50 is enuff for 1kwrms, so my bat is fine for now... if my alt cant handle it wich i believe it will i will upgrade it then... so does anyone actually know how to install this fucking cap...?
