Haha theyre better than CVR's that's for sure and not a bad subwoofer but people think they're SQL gods or something for the money honestly lowest I'd go is 2 12" Sundowns amazing SQ works great in sealed and smaller boxes and are incredible and low ported boxes I've just never been a fan ever since my boy blew one off an MRP500 set off a DMM and the R was 600RMS. What happened was the spiders came unglued from the former and it was instantly blown so he got new ones and sold them.

Not a hater of alpine or Type R's at all but they arent SQ subs or SPL subs... They're just meh.

Yeah but what's the price difference on 2 12'' sundowns vs 2 12'' type r's? I got my type r 10''s and a box for $80 and its plenty loud enough for my truck.

You can get a pair of Sundown 10's off a vendor and not eeeebay for probably around 200-250 shipped depending on your location. In the end that extra $100 is more then worth it imo for what you get. The 12" Sundown are only like $100 more then the Type R's as well.

sure you can get type r's for like $250 a pop prob but you can sundowns too. If you picked R's over sundowns you dont care about SPL or SQ in my book enough to be the judge of car audio.
