very wrong, there is no additional load on the alternator from adding batteries. So you have a 150 amp alternator and you add 2 batteries now its still only putting out <150 amps. The only thing thats changing is the duration of the charge, that's why you let your batteries charge in between songs. Subtracting power that could go towards the amps? Your amps draw from your batteries which are still getting the SAME 150 amp charge rate, you gain higher overall voltage meaning more power out of your amps.

I don't think you know what you're talking about at all...so lets go over some charging system basics:

Lets look at an example...120 alternator with a 20 amp load (with stereo off)...add another battery that adds an additional 5 amp load (pick a number). Add 10 batteries, that's an additional 50 amp load, etc. Lets say your stereo system draws 100 amps...before with 1 battery you were fine. You add another battery to help with voltage drops, but you also put too great a load on your system and now that additional 5, 50, etc amps going towards charging a battery means you cannot power your amp as much as you could previously.
Also, using additional batteries to compensate for voltage drops means that the alternator has to spend more time charging those batteries.
Furthermore, alternators regulate the voltage in a system (described above)...so a battery doesn't add more power to your amps (this is a ridiculous assertion)...it provides short term voltage drop compensation in a system with an underpowered alternator, but it does not "give amps more power"...as it does not provide more amperage. Will an additional battery help regulate short term voltage drops? Yes. Does it provide an amp with "more power"? No.
