god damn this forum is full of cap promoting idiots.

only reason u should need a capacitor is if your doin 60 second drops and thats it .... capacitors fry amps .. a cap is made to drop all its power in one burst once it looses its power it can cause a low voltage strain which is terrible for class D power .. if u have issues ( dimming lights or low voltage ) i reccomend much larger wires and several batterys

I was hoping somebody here knew what a capacitor was for.......

caps are for people who cheap out on getting higher amp alts and addition batterys:P

extra batteries are useless unless you like sitting in your car listening to music with the engine off

the higher output alternator and a big 3 upgrade is important yes, but not extra batteries

some people have 5 alternator 1000 pounds of 0 gauge wire with 8-12 batterys

Those are people who enter into SPL competitions.

When your car is running, everything runs off the alternator...not the batteries...its really pointless to have extra batteries.

well charged good batterys take alot of strain off your alt do they not
