you'll have to remove it then.

set the box on its back so you the sub doesn't yank on the screws as they get loose.

doing a 4 ohm load on a 2 ohm dvc sub is stupid. it makes it hard to trust the guy when hes telling you to wire it the least efficient way possible.

2 ohm dvc subs run 1ohm loads so you can get more power out of your amp.

if i was you i would take the sub out and be sure because he doesn't know much himself.

btw you are going to have to remove the sub anyways if the previous owner had it wired to 4 ohms. you have to rewire it to 1 ohm. picture will show you how.

I had it set up just to hear the sub after I bought it because I had this amp in my car for my old shitty sub

that amp isn't near powerful enough to run the sub and extended use would ruin both of them most likely.
