Iv done this countless number of times, I'm about to take my subs out of my truck for the winter and put them in my room again with a setup similar to this, I used a Walmart cap tho to help with voltage drops on hard hits. My shit was dropping to 9 volts on heavy bass til I got a cap. It sounds like you have a polarity wrong on a speaker wire tho. Take it all apart and wire it back up.

Check the voltage to your amp then, make sure it's getting decent power.

Check it at the wires you have powering the amp. And are you sure the power supply is switching on?

the psu has a designated switch to turn it on ... and yes its on

it worked completely perfect before so i dont see why its not now

Are your amp lights coming on and is it in protect mode?
