Yes, extra space. Upgrading to an aftermarket head unit will work as a selling point, I say go for it.

Doable but the kit/harness are expensive, but it is doable. Did one a few months ago. Its something like $350 for the kit/harness locally from Metra.

I'm still interested in finding on if anyone knows of one. A decent headphone jack FM transmitter might work fine also.

The one I have right now plays from an SD card, which is fine; however, the interface is horrendous and its a cheap POS.

We have an Rx-8 also, but he guy never really wanted to spend the money on a new headunit/adapter kit, just ended up burning music to CD's, seeing as the FM transmitter never had good quality unless you spent more on one

we had used a FM transmitter like this one->

really only way to get the better quality IMO is to go with the aftermarket HU and kit though (IMO)

Because it seemed as though you were trying to correct me/1 up me. Online prices are almost always cut in half.
