ahh, this ones p2 running 400 rms 800 peak

more cone area = more air you displace as the sub oscillates and the more air you move, the louder your lows get. Power of course contributes. But to your question... i know 2 10s vs 2 12's in a sealed box on the same power you wouldnt notice a difference because sealed boxes move so little air. In a ported application im sure you'd notice a difference.

Size really doesnt matter. It all depends on the type you go with, and proper wiring. I have 2 8" JD Kickers with a 500 Watt amp and I guarantee they hit harder then anything you have ever heard.

i want a system that gives a powerful quake, but not being so loud that it drowns out the rest of the song

what interior speakers are you running? if they are stock they need replaced first.

yes sadly they are stock.
i believe the front speakers in my car are 6" and the rears are 5 x 8's
