Yeah and wreck any opportunity to sell the truck. also a permnanent solution. what if i want to take the subs out somewhere down the road?

Um actually i have them in my truck right now, just on my back seat in a big box

its a 98..if you wanted to sell it you should of done it before it was 13 years old. if you aren't going to keep them why not just remove them now? you can put wood/plexiglass insert into the cab hole.

if they don't fit behind or under the seat then you have no choice but to use passenger space or remove them.

and no all 12s aren't the same mounting depth. being a 12 only dictates its cutout diameter its depth depends on how its manufactures and how large the magnets are.

then either keep them how they are until you have the money, or deal with it sadly

i'd assume abit yes
you could get grills like:

merely an example this is an 8 in grill though
1/2 an inch would be too close, but i can't say i've never done it closer then that haha
i cant remember if its 1 or 2 inchs it should be away from the side of the box

custom made boxes are designed (typically) to use as much space as acceptable in the most convenient place possible (typically) , idk if it would raise the seat at all, but it would be snug
unless their tuned of course
