i'm curious, doesn't a cap actually hurt your power system, its good for one good thump then it starts to draw more, more, more, more

lol if you have the right size wire then it should be fine. I have a 1 farad on a 1k watt amp and 0 gauge running to it and it never kicks on, stays charged at 14.5 volts constant, idle or driving and with music turned up.
