I drive a sexy 1998 Civic four door, it's my little family car. I can't handle the stock speakers anymore because my last car had Bose (probably overrated but for me it was really nice). I need to replace the stereo that the girl put in it before me which is some old junk Sony, and I just want to replace all four speakers. The fronts would be 6.5's I believe and I think the rears are 6x4's.

I need an idea for something that is going to be extremely wallet friendly but would be worth getting for better sound than these ancient cracklers.

3: Decent sounding music, more depth than what I have.
4: No Sub actually, over my budget.
5: No trunk space.
6: I just need AUX plugin.
7: I listen to everything depending on my mood that day.
8: Not amplified.

I'll have to ease the wifey into this one. She clicked the mouse pretty easily for the entire system but she doesn't think a sub is really necessary for the car, mainly because of the littles in the back seat and the need for trunk space all the time.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason for the brand over another like kicker?

rockford is generally the best bang for your buck in the lower price range.

yeah might not be the most practical choice to get a sub in that situation.

Gotchya. Pretty bummed out about what happened to the order! Apparently a number was off on my billing address. I put the order through on Friday, and I just got an email a few hours ago telling me that it had to be fixed and I had to call them to get it fixed. So they probably won't be here until Thursday at the earliest.

Would RadioShack be a good place to get to get crimpers and some of the connectors for the wires?

So it's all installed, took me about 6 hours and had a hard time because the person who installed the last head unit hardwired it into the car...

I love the sound compared to what I had. If the bass is turned up anything above default and I turn the volume up the speakers get pretty ugly sounding.
