What the hell? Few months old amplifier, tried to boost it up by maxing all settings, and here comes that ugly burnt smell

Thin ground cable? BAD GROUND??
To little air flow?
Did I put it wrong together??

you can't just turn all the settings up and "max it out".

the problem here is ignorance.

you don't just turn the gain to some arbitrary setting.

you definitely don't turn the bass boost all the way up.

go learn about the settings before you start playing with them and ruining the amp. http://knowledge.sonicelectronix.com/car-audio-and-video/car-amplifiers/how-to-tune-and-adjust-amplifier-gains-and-bass-boost.html

Ground to bare metal grind it off not paint, make sure your car is a unibody otherwise go to the frame directly.

Check to see if any of the wires have burn marks on connectors. If nothing, its internal, which usually means you're on your way to frying it.

I hope you got a ported box because that's how you get them ohms right.
Sealed box will mess up your ohms and blow your amp bruh!

Don't forget to use bigger fuses so you get more direct power to the amp too (no fuses is best though).
