I can get a good deal from a friend for two Apline Type R's 2012s in a dual slotted box..... or something....



I was wondering if anyone could link me an amp that could run that, I don't want to spend too much.

do you have an aftermarket head unit and door speakers?

He's going to need more then a 1000 watt amp to run 2x Type R's
They say the Type R's can go up to 1000 Watt PER sub but most people say to run them
Between 600-800 RMS

Idk what that amp is rated at but ya, I've been looking at alpine for a while. If you live in the states, I'm guessing you will pay about 200-300$
I'm from Canada so I don't really know the states prices so sorry if I am completely off on those prices.

A couple Amps that I have heard of from around town are Focal and Exile.
@Subwoofer, do you know anything about those 2. I've never heard of them before until someone in town showed them to me.

audioque/soundqubed 1200d will work great for those subs... 259 $

I wouldnt run them at 1k each... they rated for 600... alpine subs arent all that great.. I would never buy any amp that wasnt soundqubed sundown or crescendo.. there arebother good amps but those are by far my top favs... owned em all never a issue... unlike some of these other so called good brands... and if you do runk 1000 watts to each make sure you run a good clean signal ornthose things will fry pretty quick

ya i've used them in around 6 installs i've done+god knows how many i use to recommend to people here. overall for the money(they use to be cheaper) they are an alright deal. cea-2006 compliant+good build quality. been a while since i used them installs since they were DC'd but i haven't heard of any of the ones i've installed going bad or any of the jsp people i recommended them to say its gone bad.

the onx amp of that generation have had nothing but good reviews online as well from what i've seen.
