tried 4 different box builds so far and the damn thing still sounds like shit... I guess its true.. its a burp sub and can never have decent SQ... but for 1 12 this mofo slams boy!.. if you guys have a different box idea lmk..
box 1- 2.5 cubed slot port 37 hz
box 2 - 4th order bandpass.. I fucked it up. my first one. no idea whatvi was doin... 1 cubed sealed after displacement 2 cubed ported @ 48ish hz
box 3 - 3 cubed @ 32 hz aero ports
box 4 - prefab pos that I added a external port 2 cubes at 32-33-35-40-45 hz..

any ideas would be nice..

Imo DC XL end of story best sounding subs that get loud.
I just sold my Fi BTL n2's going to get 2 15" XL's with level 5 soft parts and run them off a DC 5.0K doing all this next week I dont like the SQ of Fi subwoofers even my SSD lacked in the SQ department but they sure do bang. But imo DD95 or DC XL for lots of powa and SQ.

PSI recone would change nothing, They would try a looser spider pack which would fail because you will will lose cone control and scrape the former. The reason its a SPL sub is because it has such a tight gap it needs many spiders to maintain linearity. Especially in a 12 the Fs of that sub will be upwards of 60hz.
