So i bought 4 new 6.5" alpines and pioneer deck because wanted ipod ready stereo and nicer sound

But now my stereo is quiet and idk wtf is wrong. Like i can listen to max vol at 62a and its not that loud but my roommate has pioneer also and he cant go past like hi 40s w.o the speakers sounding like theyll blow.

Cartoys did my deck. Little thugy looking guys so guessing they messed up but is that even a symptom or is the deck f'd up

doea it sound good though? if u bought some fancy 180 rms door speakers and ur trying to push them with 15 watts rms from ur head unit then thqt could be the problem.. also pull the deck and check wires.. pioneer has a loudness feature and slant feature try turning those up.

na once it hits like 55 it starts to get fuzzy and its really not even that loud...we could have a conversation with it playing

the loudness feature i played with but still didnt help. i pulled the deck and big wad of electrical tape. thought they splice them

take it back

demand they fix the problem

electrical tape is bullshit for an install you pay for. tell them to do it right or give you a refund because anything short of solder and heat shrink tubed is bullshit.

Most installers don't solder and heatshrink headunits in solder is really only necissary for higher gauge wiring a good crimp works just as well.

the point being you don't pay someone to do it so they can do it the easiest/cheapest methods. if you take it to a professional then they better use professional methods..not something anyone with a pair of pliers and 50 cents of butt connectors could of done.
