So i have a civic coupe
going to replace the front 2 door speakers with Alpine SPR-60C 6.5" Car Audio Component
Also I am going to have an amp for them

not sure which one to use though

rockwood AMP-400 CPX
mtx Thunder 280

are these speakers the best for the price range? got em for 150
will the amp work well with it?
and my head unit is a Pyle touch screen(cheap), will that work well with it?
will probably also hook a 12 in sub later

im not buying any amp, just found it in my basement so gonna use one of these the mtx or rockwood..
also will my battery/alternator be fine for this? ( i used to have 2 mtx subwoofers with an amp and it seemed fine) just making sure my car wont die or anything..dont think its too powerful

then go with the mtx

rockwood is just awful.

yeah, just got em from amazon, should be here in a couple days./ why bad choice? i had someone boasting about how awesome alpine was thats why and was going to go with the type s but was told if im gonna use an amp i would need the type r.. wasnt looking to pay that much but oh well

because you bought 110rms speaker for 45 rms amp. you paid for a speaker that won't even be using half of its potential.

whoever told you that only the type r can use an amp is an idiot...do yourself a favor and stop listening to them.

power ratings are very important things to look at. no reason to buy a 110rms more expensive speaker if you won't actually be giving it the kind of power it likes.

that amp i linked earlier is a good amp for those alpines. 100rms watts+better quality signal+better controls. using a crap amp on good speakers is just a waste.

thats the e series though, the lowest one?? wouldnt that sound really crappy?/ like stock?
