Looking for a sub box for my 2008 corvette C6.

I havnt seen many options other then a couple variations of the JL stealth box.



I was more leaning toward keeping everything Clarion, so the JL with their choice of sub is less then ideal.

Was thinking 2x 10".




If all else fails I might try and make a custom fiberglass one with shallow mount subs.

why would you want to keep anything clarion?

you'll be better off building a box for the car rather than super overpaying for a stealthbox.

My 7" DVD deck is clarion

head units are about the only thing clarion makes still that isn't crap. they have a few okay ones...but kenwood or pioneer are the only worthwhile head unit brands these days.

clarion subs/amps/speakers are garbage.

what are the measurements for where the box will be placed? if i knew the approximate mounting depth i could start looking through options.

well the only 8s i'd bother with are sa8v2's but christ they mout as deep as the rest of the SA series lol.

hey bro, i know u like clarion but honestly iv had no luck with the 800 watt shallow woofer,
not to mention u wont be able to hear shallows over a corvette could barely hear em in a mazda b2200 :|

Well the big problem is unless I go with the stealth boxes I have to go shallow mount... My roof comes off and clips into the trunk. I have about 5 inches of clearance under it...


What do you think of a JL13TW5-3 shallow mount sub???

just no...there is no reason to buy expensive shallow mounts like those because tbh. for example http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18212_Pioneer-TS-SW3001S4.html. shallow mounts by nature are inferior quality so you may as well save yourself money instead of getting the most polished turd.

can you get exact measurements please? without exact depth/height/width measurements i can't figure out air space or mounting depth.
