I bought this car back in august and will finally be on the road this month to start off a good new year.
Only thing it's missing is some damn good sound. I listen to metal and dubstep
All I know is that the head unit is probably a pioneer Walmart cheapy to match the scorches.
When u bought it I saw it had a gauge wire from the battery to the trunk.
Looking to spend around 250-300 for dual subwoofers/box and amp and another 100 for 4 speakers
I live out in the urban country so I have no audio store near me

Since your budget is kind of low, i'd suggest 1 good speaker instead of 2 crappy ones.

Look into MTX or Kicker. I had 2 kicker L7 12's in my old truck and they slammed. The MTX 9800 series is good also. But TBH for the budget you won't get a whole lot. A decent amp alone is 100-400 depending on what sub you decide on, then the sub is anywhere from 200-500 for a good one that will last.

go open the hood and tell me the alternators amperage output.

can't suggest sub/amp without knowing how much electricity your car produces.

Told him not to get crappy subs then tell him to get mtx or kicker..

I've owned both and put them through hell, not a single issue. But your input helped him a bunch.

Back on topic though. If you want to save some money OP and are a little handy, you cold make your own box.

Just about as much as yours did. Subwoofer already took care of it though so nn more input.

I took a look in the trunk of the car it still has all the hook ups for an amp and box. I believe it's a weak 8gauge wire
