So he bought 2 cvr 10's and put them on a 45 dollar shit box from sonic for the back of his old 80's power ram which has little room behind the fold foward seats.

It's powered by a complete shit lazar 2000w (probably means it puts out 800rms at absolute most), but he got it for 15 bucks so i said go ahead and buy it anyway for now.



We hooked it up 8ohm, was too quiet, dropped it to 2 ohm, was still nothing great at all.

So he wants to start over (which he should have asked me in the first place before buying everything lol)


What subs can he get going for around 200 bucks (already has the wiring/amp/im building the box).

I was thinking to go with a FI SSD 12" which is 204 and runs 1000rms all day.

what do you all think?

Im thinking a 12" w3 JL on about 800 rms

i used to run one at that same wattage and setup and it sounded extremely clean and hit lower then most 12's and still kicked 70hz's pretty clean with a ported box.

Problem is the space im working with but i suppose i can work with it.

alpine type-r 8inchers. tiny box space requirements and only 4.5 inches deep.

w3s mount at almost 7 inches and need over 1.5 cubic feet per sub so they wont work.

I beg to differ, i think i can make a nice extended box with a L port to work with 1 12, just not 2
The 8's are a deff no because i have worked with 2 8's and it sounds great in a clean system with nice hi's and mids but horrible in one without.

I did that for my old ranger, put them under the seats actually, worked well and sounded pretty damn good for a "budget build"
