I just installed a JVC KD-X40 single din radio in my smart car. it works fine, plays fine, except for a major problem for me...
it says "iPod/iPhone" ready, just like every company does since Apple is a monopolizing company ( i hate Apple, please excuse ), it also says it can support both .wma and .mp3, now...
i use a Zune player, and Zune marketplace to get my music. when i plug into the USB, it says "cannot play", it does not support it i'm assuming. i tried the setting in Zune program where it only allows for mp3, seems like no matter what i do it won't work.
and i can't convert it, or transfer it to iTunes, since it has DRM or w/e

need help fellas!

whole reason for buying it was for usb. better sound and charge at same time.
thing is i pay 10$ a month for zune marketplace. iTunes doesnt have a monthly thing for unlimited downloads... so idk what to do.
( i hate apple, but if they had unlimited downloads id consider it

ya its just one of that things where they decide if it was cost effective or not. i guess microsoft was overdue for failure and it had to be the zune :(

personally i love the larger zunes because they have the space of ipods but the screen isn't completely useless lol.

you can always use the car charger while its hooked into aux! lol.

The drm issue is not just a zune thing. There is hope though. Try burning some cd's with the drm files and then rip the burned disk to mp3 files.
I was able to do this about 70% of the time. There is also some 50$ programs to bypass the drm. I didn't waste my time with unfamiliar software.
Do yourself a favor and go buy an $8 platinum edition 8gb sandisk flash drive from walmart. The quality is amazing and it's cheap so its perfect to leave in your vehicle.

i found a 20$ program to convert to mp3, perhaps i will try this. i might just buy the program, convert and buy an ipod to put it on. i love my zune service.
