Im running a 1200 RMS amp @ 1 ohm to a Rockford Fosgate T2 12 (1200 RMS 2400 peak) in a ported box.


I just discovered KnuKonceptz, and I'm either going to get a 4 gauge kit from them, or Stinger. Everyone seems to like it but my brother (the person installing my entire system) can't get over it being so cheap and CCA. The Knu kit is selling for 27 dollars, For 30 more dollars I can get a stinger 4 gauge kit that I know will handle my amp fine and not warm up, etc. there is even a video on YouTube showing stinger vs CCA and the CCA started smoking. I've called the 2 respectable audio stores around my city and the people from sonic electronix and they've never heard of the brand before.

What are your guys thoughts?

never heard about stinger, only heard good things about knu

if ur worried about ur 4 gauge warming up n shit why dont u just buy 2 - 1 gauge, 4 gauge for 1200 w isnt that good from what i heard

+ if ur going to upgrade u wont need to change all wires again

Knu is better hands down Knu's lowest line is equivalent to Stingers best their OFC is bar none the best price/performance.

Yes that will be fine for 1200rms.

Any idea how high it'll go up too? I heard it'll only run up to 1000 rms and duh I want the full power of my amp.

My worry is I'll buy the kit, spend 3 hours installing it, and I'll think "Hmm I think it should be louder..." and then be pissed cause I could have just bought a kit that has 100% copper and I KNOW will run my amp perfectly fine. But it'll cost much more.

I use KnuKonceptz on my DC 1.2K and it runs fine its actually what the manufacturer recommended... I think DC knows their shit as long as it's TRUE 4ga it'll be fine. Bigger wiring is NOT going to make you audibly louder jus sayin not if you're already using what you need atleast.

I'm using like 8ga horrible wires from walmart, from when I had sony xplods. I have my amp and HU turned down all the way so as not to ruin the amp, sub, or my electrical. How come absolutely no one knows about Knu? I've called maybe 5 places and they've all said the same thing. 90% alu 10% copper will not ever compete with 100% copper.
