I posted the link there. I initially went to the dealer this morning and his posted internet price was $2495.00 Canadian, after taxes and registration fees I'm looking at $3327.00. He said that they would honor that price even though the lot price was $4995.00.

I had the car inspected by my uncle who's very good with cars and he mentioned that for its age it is in good condition. It'll probably need new shocks, there's a crack in the front windshield which is large enough that the window would need to be replaced eventually.

I went back to the dealer later that evening and he said that someone had driven by from up island and he offered $3500.00 on the car (which was a total lie) and he was coming to pick it up tomorrow.. in other words they don't want to sell it at the price they gave me. He said that if I were to offer 50-100 dollars more they might consider it, which was the total give away. This is like JSP in real life lmao.

Anyways if I were to pay that new price which would equal $4479.25 total; is it still worth it? Should I even deal with these guys considering they just screwed me on the price..?

PROS:
Good condition for its age.
I find it to be a beautiful car and would be willing to drop 5-6k on upgrading it cosmetically.
Cars are very costly where I live because there's no need to salt the roads in winter and the temperature is very consistent. Everything is near by.. I live on Vancouver Island.
I need a new car for work as my current one will die within this year :( and I can pay for this in full cash without having to be in debt.

Negatives:
Windshield needs to be replaced in the near future.
Shocks changed.
it's almost the same age as me.

If you're willing to drop 4k on the car + 5k-6k on upgrades, why not spend 9k-10k on a car that wont need immediate upgrades and is newer/nicer/will last longer?

Thanks for all the replies guys, I've decided not to go back to that dealership despite how much I liked that car.

Currently looking at a 95' bmw 525i with 112k (black) for almost 6000 after all taxes/admin fees.
