suggestions brand wise?
4g-> 2x 8g
battery terminal
distribution block
spade/ring terminals
capacitor
doing two 1k watt amps
one being a 4 channel
one being a 2 channel

I would go to KnuKonceptz for the wring and ditch the capacitor, it is not necessary.

i was more or less liking the idea of having a digital readout of the current voltage, either being in a cap, battery terminal, or dash digital reading

Was gonna say knu konceptz but do one run of 1/0 CCA rated for 250 Amps only about 1.95 a foot half the price of OFC

i was thinking of doing this at first, 0/1g -> 2x4g
but decided to downgrade on amps...

Bigger wire is always better, has less resistance and gives you breathing room to upgrade for only a few bucks more.

Electrical isn't something you cheap out on, you don't wanna end up frying your shit. I didn't read your post earlier, but if you're doing two 1000 watt amps, you'll want to use 1/0 gauge to start with than split to 4 gauge.

4 gauge is really only rated up to 150 amps, and you'll be drawing 200 amps of current so bigger wire is a must.
