Kenwood makes garbage amps and kicker makes garbage subs. I would look into a better brand tbh

Mix and matching subs is a bad idea. the subs have different t/s parameters and work differently in the enclosure, and could cancel each other out. I would not buy that stuff. If it were me, I'd save up and buy something of better quality. A good 12 in a ported box will outdo that system in terms of loudness, lows and sound quality (kicker isn't exactly SQ based)

A skar VVX 12 would do you nicely.

Well in a proper box, the two 10s will get louder due to more cone area and motor force and will be able to handle power better than a single 12, but more than likely two 10s is going to cost more than a 12. Whichever you choose, make sure you get a proper box built; your sub can only perform as good as your box will allow. Basically don't buy any prefabs because they all suck. The ported ones are normally too small and are tuned in the 40s so you'll miss out anything in the low 30s and below. I had two Kicker CVR 15s in 2.5 cubes sealed each and my two 10s in 3 cubes ported for the pair completely destroy them...it's all in the box, do not cheap out on this.

For a good budget amp, the APSM-1500 does well. It was clamped at doing 1550 watts @ 13.7ish volts at .95 ohm which is good, and it only costs $125 or so brand new. For subs there are tons of brands, look into Sundown, Skar, DC, DD, Fi, AA, SSA, Atomic, Dayton

well now im wondering

options:

~ 1 12 + box + amp
~ 1 10 + box + amp
~ NO SUB OR AMP and go 4x car speakers (since my stock speakers arent even loud anyways but hopefully the speakers will have enough bass)

e: wat u guys think?

only got 200 bucks at the moment

thinking of getting this setup though

2 different subs in the same box is not smart at all.

And although Kenwood is a decent company, they're mainly known for their decks. Their speakers, amps, and subwoofers arent that great.
