okay, so i have a 2002 ford taurus

looks about right


i know absolutely nothing about car audio
and i want my car to sound like a black person's at two in the morning that can be heard from like a mile away and shake windows and stuff

can this be done for around 800$ and where if so?

Can you have a box made for you if I gave you a cut sheet to make it? if so throw me a PM and I can set you up. I need to know a little bit more about what you want and need and can fit before I start throwing ideas at you.

but ya $800 will get you a full setup that will be fairly loud.

you'll need to buy online because local shops mark up stuff well above online prices.

i honestly dont know what a box is t.t
im assuming its the cutout like in pimp my ride that has the kickers and stuff in it, with the wiring all behind it?
im only 17 lol




what would be the best brands for this? the only name i honestly recognize is kenwood lol
and i bet a mexican could do it for free. but the last time i tried that route i wound up in columbia with two kilos of cocaine and a gun to my head

but overall you learn alot from these guys

with your budget there are a lot of ways to go because entry level stuff is all over the place. the biggest issue is going to be your stock electrical system because subwoofer amplifier take a lot of power to run.

you can easily get in the 135 decibel range for cheap and have it last you a long time but you really need to consider exactly how loud you are trying to get because it will quickly get to the point of being uncomfortable to drive around with.

I wouldn't really consider $800 entry level and anything below 2000w is pretty good off stock if it's efficient, more or less it's going to involve know how and to me it seems like he's going to have to be tutored hardcore or have a shop do it unfortunately. I can name brands until I'm blue in the face but if you don't know what to do with them period or don't even know what a box is you're going to end up with a ton of problems.

/e also what's with this "sound black" shit I've noticed more white people with systems then black people it's not a stereotype at all... To have a shop install everything it's going to cost you probably $60 an hour or in the ballpark of $200+ and some shops do shitty jobs. You might just want to buy a box online since I doubt you're going to be able to build one, you could pass a cut sheet over to a local carpenter and pay them to do it though if you have the resources.
