Hey there, just traded my old car for a 2004 chevy silverado 2500HD crew cab and am looking to add a little something to make the sound hit harder.
i have my http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/2008_Car_Entertainment/DNX5120 i took out of my old car, and am waiting for the wiring to come so i can install that.
http://subthump.com/Chevrolet-GMC-Sub-Boxes/Silverado-Sierra-Crew-Cab/01-06-GM-HD-Crew-Cab-Dual-Downfire-Box.html looks like the best box, now i need 2x 10" subs, and an amp that will work with my head unit
would like to keep the cost of the wiring/subs/amp for under 300-400ish if possible

Not alot of airspace in that box for 2x 10's imo. Mine have right at 1 sq/f of air per sealed champer

airspace looks a little on the small side for 10's
I'd get the 8 inch version of that box and get type r 8's, I heard one the other day at a car audio shop and that one sub was louder in a ported box than my two 10's in a sealed box, made me jelly.

wouldent 2 10's still be better than 2 8's though? or is the airspace not that big of a deal

Just depends on the subs, 8's with more airspace could sound just as loud as 10's with a little space

ya those p1s are about the only thing that fit requirements in 10s.

where did you see a 8inch version for the box? :O

nvm found it. ya 8 inch ATRs will be a better choice. handles more power with more excursion.

Id take the whole backseat out and put 15's in B)

But I don't have a backseat so I can have any size sub box. Until I put my 350 in then I gotta go down to one sub so I can have my bottle in the cab :(
