Do you have to connect both batteris to your alternator ?

why would you need a second battery to begin with?

you don't just do it on a whim because you will kill your alternator.

i'm just asking how you would do it.
if u have more then .. say 3 or 4 4000W amps..
u cant run all those on one battery

voltage dips are bad. it was a pretty generalized statement though. some vehicles can handle multiple batteries without voltage dips but its not common.

I may be wrong but a truck coud handle more batteries better then a car couldnt it?
i know a diesel could ...

ya a truck generally has a larger alternator on it. luxury/full size cars tend to have fair size alternators as well.

ya diesels rely heavily on their electrical system and tend to come with 2 large batteries and a large alternator.

usually diesel trucks come stock with a secondary battery
