I just set up my system in my '00 Legacy Outback.. Check it out
The stock system has one of them ugly big recievers and a 6 cd changer. What I did with the reciever setup was i took out the changer which was the size of a regular deck and replaced it with my alpine unit. Alpine is the way to go with head units by the way.. So then with the guts ripped outta the dash i spliced all the wires of the stock receiver and my alpine together so i have two seperate players going to the door speakers, but only the alpine going through the subwoofer, cuz i hate using those cheap Wal-Mart blue boxes..
So I was just wondering if anybody else has thought of this. I thought it was a good idea cuz it's superflush, no extra space and it works perfect, using the entire stock setup if anything else fails. I dunno any thoughts??
