So i live very close to the ocean in a high humidity area

so i was wondering wut u guys think to cover my boxes with

bed liner beats carpet in every aspect.

Yeah that's what i was thinking.

recently i had a clarion 12" in a ported box and the carpet started to come unglued or what ever,
so i started to peel the rest of the carpet off and realized the moisture was getting between the carpet and the mdf
and caused the mdf to swell up

ya mdf sucks up moisture like a sponge.

carpet is standard but you don't think about this issue until it happens lol.

alot of people prefer carpet that matches the stock carpet in there car

i prefer the strength of the bed liner and it actually looks pretty bad ass when alls said and done

ya aesthetically speaking bed liner/fiberglass are 1000x better looking than carpet. it looks more finished and less just thrown together. plus you can color match lightning accents and such.

Looks good, be sure you seal off the inside of the box with something. It almost looks like you did on the bottom but i run a thick bead of liquid nails along all the edges and then press it down compactly with a rag or somethin.
