not going to happen unless you buy absolute junk(if store bought) or risking buying something tore up(used).

do your head unit and a set of interior speakers until you get more money.

my budget of 400$ was close to enough for a "good" system

not possible unless you want to deal with Dual or Pioneer just saying.... guessing you need a wiring kit to? easy 50~100$ + RCA cables if they aren't long enough...

check LSN or craiglist.... but wont be able to get all of it for 150 for anything decent, maybe 1/4 of what you'd need

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/

if you want to look at some stuff yourself to get you some idea what things kinda cost

Remember you need:
Sub
Box
Amp
Wiring (+ RCA's if they aren't long enough or + speaker wire if not included)

the 12" of the CVR is ~77$
http://www.amazon.com/Kicker-CompVR-07CVR124-12-Inch-Subwoofer/dp/B000N8MW8C/ref=sr%5F1%5F1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316061472&sr=8-1
and if he has an eeebay account he can find a box like that one for 1/2 the price (no shipping)

but.. yet again you know more then me

sonic is an authorized kicker dealer so if something happens he won't get fucked around with the warranty so the price is going to be higher because of that.

its really personal choice but i like sonic anyways so im bias lol.
