How do I fdisable the stupid like protect featuRe on kenwood decks I know how to get out of it but I want to disable it totally it sounds find but when I get it to semi loud it goes into it and want to kill my. Self while I'm driving and have to put a screw in the little hole. Ha.

it goes into protect mode because something is wrong. check all the wiring to make sure nothing is exposed and test the ground wire.

Nothing is wrong, its just think its too loud for my 95's eclipse stock infinity speakers which are sounding absolutely perfect still. nothing else is wrong. I need a way to disable it. or i guess I could just take the shit deck back.

you cant just turn off protect mode its a safety mechanism...

So new deck is the only fix?

Or would a comp work? I cant really get another battery it self, so woulda storing energy in compacitor and using that when needeed work? it might be going into protect mode cause my subs are sucking so much juice when that loud.

wait wait wait...are your subs wired directly to the head unit?

Thats where the remote is coming out of but my gauge is on my battery and ground wired all the way down where my spare tire are. But I think the subs and amp it self are eating all of the batteries power. Longer they been on the less loud i can have it.

unhook the rcas and try it. no harm in trying lol.

chances are something is wrong with a ground though.

I doubt its with a ground because it plays PERFECT at like mid volume feel the bass very nice and clean in front and the music quality is still perfect no scratchy or muffled but once I turn it any louder it slams into protect mode:( I actually resorted to taking it to best buy and other audio places and they had no idea.. not very many reliable sources in southern MN. Im thinkin my battery is just getting drained.
