Yeah.... This is kind of a dumb question but I really need to know how to take out my aftermarket headunit. I had it installed by "professionals" a couple years back when my parents payed for the car. All i know about the original radio is that it was a double din.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.....

2000 mazda protege Kenwood KDC-MP342u. I just found out that it came it removal tools but i never received them.... Should i go back to that audio place and ask them if they have them? I mean, they might give me some off the wall price..

Pretty sure that kit is just clipped in. You can probably just pull the whole thing out. But the right way would be to use the keys. If u never received them I would go back and either ask to borrow some or have them remove it. If they try to charge you, you could make some out of thin metal

Yeah, i was told I could pull it out by someone that just seems like a bad idea all together lol. I think i will just go to the shop tomorrow morning and ask if I would be able to get the keys for my headunit. If not i'll pretty much be fucked lol. But Im pretty sure they need to have a key that fits somewhere because they are car audio installers.

They will have extra keys, you could just Ask to borrow them, or have one of them do it. Especially if they installed it

Well i want them to keep for the future lol. I'm still looking for a box so I can install my subs. Hopefully I can find a box to be able to install them in ~2 weeks.

Gotcha. I know when people come to my shop if we installed the radio and want the keys I give them a pair. But custom shops like to charge for everything ;)

Not much it's just 2 pieces of thin metal but someone could make up a price just because.
