i have google searched for a good hour or 2 and cant find a god damned thing. driving me fucking nuts..

basically the one we found was supposed to be the 03..but it is missing wires that we have, and including wires we do not have...so this is pretty well fucked.

yea..got a new one of a different brand...and we managed(through trial and error) to get the front speakers set up..stopping for the night..but could not find any wiring diagram for the cd player that was similar to the colors we had.

I got pissed off and chopped off the wiring harness for my 2001 Cavilier and hard wired it like 3 years ago.
I was told the wiring harness due to door chimes etc. running through the h/u was going to put my harness at
around $200. Now that I know more about it I lol@myself. It was definitely a learning experience.

It took me days to find the wiring diagram, and two weeks to get not only the h/u functioning (WALMART JVC LOL),
but for my car to stop doing crazy weird shit. Problems I ran into:

H/U not turning on (Now wired to my battery via toggle switch LOL)
H/U turning on but no sound coming out (EVERY SINGLE SPEAKER WIRE WRONG LOL)
Airbag Light coming on (OMG MAKE IT GO AWAY I'M SCARED)
All gauges not functioning (TO THIS DAY I CANNOT HOOK UP MY ANTENNAE POWER WIRE AND SEE HOW FAST I'M GOING)

I still drive this car now and then, and the H/U still works. Totally amazed.
Get a fucking wire harness.

Probably right. I dont pay attention too much unless I have a customer actually looking for the part.

All I know is that if its a non amplified vehicle its the GMOS01, if it doesnt have onstar or they dont want onstar you use the GMRC01. If you dont want the chimes to work its something like XSVI-XXXX. Then if its amplified, its even more expensive.

All these new harnesses needed for amplified systems are nuts.

GMOS02
GMOS03
GMOS04
CHTO-XX
TYTO-XX

Etc.

All $100+

Or you could go scosche which is 100$ gmlan2sr works on amplified or non amplified as long as no onstar.
