The speakers on my 2000 Firebird Trans Am blew out recently. The car has the 10 speaker monsoon system and I removed the sail panel (back seat, not trunk) speakers and noticed that they r dual voice coil (4 wires instead of 2) and can't seem to find any reliable company or website that makes aftermarket speakers.

I only want to replace the 2x 6.5" dual voice coil speakers in the sail panels.

The problem is, I can't find any online except for http://www.keeaudio.com/bazooka.html
I do not want to do any modifications to the car since I'm not experienced enough.

someone help me find some 6.5" dual voice coil speakers!
edit: i do not want to replace the whole monsoon system since I can't afford it atm (college student)

whats the power rating on the current speakers?

also what ohm are they?

im not sure on the power, its the oem speakers from gm (delco electronics)

they r both 4 ohm

the monsoon system is nearly identical in the camaros except for the sail panel 6.5" they r single voice coil, they had to ruin the trans am and put dual voice coil in em =/
the oem system still sounds kick ass for not being aftermarket and can compete with inexpensive aftermarket system
also the amp is 8 way and the head unit powers the 2x tweeters in the front seats

alrighty. i can't find much on the amp specs online ><

so i called the tech support at crutchfield and he said they dont reallymake dvc 6.5" speakers anymore and it will be extremely difficult to find the factory speakers cuz pontiac went out of business and dont create them anymore
he said i could tape off one of the wires and just hook up subs,low speakers and if i ever want too add in tweeters down the road

they r also on amazon for $30, asking bro which i should get cuz crutch includes several other installation pieces, speaker wire and such which makes installing even easier

they were subwoofers already. without knowing how much power the stock amp is throwing out i can't safely suggest anything.

crutchfield guy probably didn't even take power into account....there tech support is awful lol.

meh can prob go with low end speakers, bro knows a decent amount about speakers and hes looking for some atm
if i buy two way speakers, the car will only produce one of the frequencies either low or high depending which wire u hook up
and i need low sound for these speakers

you could do a single 6.5 sub safely but 2 would be just waiting for something to burn out either the amp or your new subs. specs on that monsoon amp is 500watts and sub replacements are going to eat 300 of that+rest on peak so its a bad plan.

he has these in his car already but he never bought an amp to make really push them to the limit

and since i have dual voice coils hooked up to the sail speakers, i can only hook up the low frequency part and not the tweeters
