especially when you have a partner that double faults randomly every time we have a chance to win a game. lost to 2 ppl that arent even half as good as me... feels bad man



oh and we lost 5-2 5-2.... the only games we won were when i served (go figure lol)

I used to be the king of doubles, you need a fun partner . We won a couple of tournaments even together

how did you lose 5-2, 5-2? why not just play a full set lol

I think he meant 6-2.

Anyway, doubles is a blast if you enjoy the people you play with.

oh okay, so it was in a real tournament?

me and my friend actually won the doubles championships in my region when we were 16... was pretty neat... I remember the semi-final we were down 6-0, 5-1 and I told my mate that I just wanted to get the fuck out of here and shortly after that I even failed to throw my racquet into the net so it flew over and almost hit my opponent which cost us a point penalty... so being down 30-15 in their serve I just decided to go all out with a huge inside-out forehand which lead to 30-30 in that game. I kept doing so every single point since I just didn't give a flying fuck about the result anymore... somehow the balls went in and we slowly turned the match around to the final result 0-6, 7-6, 7-6... we went on and won the final 6-1, 6-0 playing the possibly best doubles match in my "career".

so yeah... doubles can definitely be fun if you have the right partner, my funniest memories in tennis when it comes to matches are actually from doubles matches... even though I prefer singles any day of the week.
