Just wondering why so many people don't like tennis and bash it so much, this is a legit topic not a troll thread

they probably prefer team sports because they're worthless as an individual and don't possess the variety of skills/versatility needed to be good at tennis

This.

But seriously, tennis takes as much physical strength and stamina as other sports, if not more and the precision the sport requires is almost unparalleled for such a sport. Yes, maybe decades ago other spots could be seen as "more manly" but tennis has evolved enormously the past two decades. No other sport I can think of requires all the different skills tennis asks for.

i comprehend their underlying thesis too. but their delivery is arrogant and also subjectionaly.

as a football player, i was never one-dimensional; i played RB as a freshmen, then SB as a junior, then QB as a senior.
i mean thats just one example of versatility.

as i stated in the other thread and like these guys reiterate. the biggest discrepency between tennis and team sports, is the mental aspect. whats that book? the inner game of tennis? i've heard its groundbreaking

Lol'd. As I mentioned in the other thread, I have played on plenty winning team sports, I know what it takes.

It isn't just the mental aspect. The physical strength and stamina you need at the high levels of tennis is just as necessary if not more necessary than other sports. Your coach isn't going to let you take an extended rest on the bench, there is no set time limit to play unlike football/basketball, and you are constantly doing something.

In no way does it take as much strength as most other sports.
