What do you guys think? I personally believe that Djokovic has the better skill set to beat Nadal on the hard court surface, but I think that Nadal has more intangible things on his side(Intimidation, better stamina, ability to grind out points, never giving up on a point).

Djokovic was very impressive against Federer, especially on the big points ( the 2 match points he had against him were insane ). I really hope Djokovic, even though I'm not a fan of either :P . I just don't like Nadal.

Djok only won his semifinal because Federer played like shit. Had close to 80 unforced errors I believe.

If Nadal plays even 75% of what he's capable of he should win.

I like them both actually but Djokovic has a way better backhand than Nadal.

djok only won his semi because federer couldn't buy a first serve for over half the match

nadal is only here because his draw was arguably the easiest and most absurd sack of shit i've ever seen. beating down people who are generally his bitch after they've come off of hard 5 setters, wow great stuff seriously

looking back it seems as though gabashvilli and istomin had the best shots at him

djokovic in 4 because nadal is his bitch on hard court, and that extra day of rest was basically a godsend for him (btw the tournament organizers here are probably the worst in the sport)

I didn't get to see the whole match, but I was surprised how in sets 2 and 4 Djoker basically handled Fed(but like you said it could just be Fed playing like shit), where in sets 1 and 2 it was more of a battle for Fed to win. I watched the set 5 highlights and they both seemed to be playing well, but at double match point I think Djokovic really just went off.

I hope he can at least make it a good match(somebody finally makes Nadal drop a set?), but I hope more so that he wins.

I wouldn't necessarily call Nadal Djokovic's bitch, but I think he has an advantage for this type of surface/ball combination. And I agree about the organization of the tourney, don't understand why they play the semis on Saturday, then the Final on Sunday, kind of stupid not to allow more than one day of rest for the final(especially with the player in the bottom half of the draw getting screwed for time even more).

I think had the tournament not been delayed, novak would be in a lot of trouble.
Not exactly sure now.
I think djokovic has the edge, but he might crumble under pressure.
Hopefully nadal can pull out the slam

the funny thing is they usually put the "prime" match 2nd, lmfao

between that, the 5th set tiebreak (lolololol), the design of arthur ashe stadium/lack of a roof (rofl nice wind tunnel) i would have to say this is the worst of the majors, being surpassed even by the aussie

doubt anyone will agree with me but w.e

fed looked shaky all match and basically giftwrapped the 2nd set (blew 40-15 on his serve early). the 4th set was almost as bad.

you could make an argument that djokovic could have won every set (up a break in the first, squandered so many chances in the 3rd), but then again you could also argue that if fed serves like he had before that match he probably wins in straights and we aren't even having this discussion right now

i am hoping for either a good match (either way) or djokovic owning the fuck out of nadal

I would say the USO is my favorite major just because of the atmosphere and the surface. Sometime the crowd gets annoying, but overall I think it's a more electrifying experience. Arthur Ashe really induces some negative feelings though, because of the "wind-tunnel" design that can wreak havoc on matches.

us open is probably my 2nd least fav major besides the french. It's usually crazy hot/windy which makes the play much worse than usual. I don't like the French simply because I can't stand playing on clay lol.
