The thing with Nadal-Federer finals is not only the amazing rallies, but also the fact that so many know them and root for one of them, you're either a Nadal fan or a Federer fan, and if your player doesn't win you get pissed. Now let's say Murray and Djokovic plays the final, I will root for Djokovic but even if Murray wins it's not like I care that much.

I will let Murray get away with it if he gives a great speech(WITH TEARS!!), otherwise I'll still hate him ;)

You just heard the stadium's awkward applause when Djokovic won.. Roger's made breakpoint was way louder. 80% of the crowd was rooting for Fed probably.

The tournament organization can't be happy with Nadal + Federer out either, they know there won't be as much anticipation or as many viewers

Yeah, haha I even remember when Del Potro got to the final of the Grand Slam he won (us open?), he said something like "I know you guys wanted to see a Nadal-Federer final... so yeah... sorry"

I'm sure all the pros watch those Federer-Nadal finals and love those matches as much as we do

Haha oh for sure.. I think most of them watch all of it. Do you ever believe when a player says 'No I didnt watch *next opponent's* game, I will focus on my own game completely'' .. Come on.. He probably had popcorn too while watching it :P

Depends... if they're in the middle of a grand slam tournament and don't really know who they're up against, I doubt they watch those guys' previous matches, first of all they all know each other and if they don't then maybe their coach chose some clips and shows it to the player or maybe just talk about what kind of playstyle the other guy got, but I don't think Nadal look at all his opponents previous matches ^^

I mean like the quarters, so he knows he has to play the winner of that exact match.

He probably checks out who he's playing, but if they're in the quarters he most likely know the other player and therefore won't need to analyze all kinds of different matches of that specific opponent :p

Did it occur to you that the ones complaining about it always being the same final and the ones complaining about it not being a nadal-fed final is not the same persons?
