Well yeah. Unfortunately that's the case with most tennis slams, it only gets exciting in round 4/QF's, minus a couple of unforseen upsets.
And I agree, people have been complaining that Fed's road to the final has been easier, but Nadal's opponents have been pretty weak.
I think Nadal should handle Ferrer pretty easily and won't be tested until he gets to Murray(which Murray will probably get frustrated and start committing lots of errors) giving Nadal a pretty easy way to the final.
While Federer has to play an upstart Wawrinka(who he should be able to handle easily, but you never know), and a Djoker/Berdych who are both playing amazing tennis.
Either way the final has a potential of 4 players who are playing some great tennis.
I agree with what you said, except for Federer handling Wawrinka easily... he is playing really well, he could very well shock Federer and beat him, or at least give a run for his money... either way I dont expect Federer having it "easy".
