been thinking about getting into it. a lot of my co-workers play and we always play basketball together. would be nice to try something new.

For a starter, does it mater weather or not you use a high end raquet? can you get by with a cheap one? what would you guys reccomend?

by high end you mean expensive?
No, not really, it doesn't.
I would at first go to a local club with your friends, split costs, and see if you can demo racquets.
If you can't, Just go to a store with a tennis ball, grab a racquet, see if you like the grip, and feel, if you do, bounce the tennis ball on racket few times, see how it feels. :D

Not the best strategy, but eh

Doesn't really matter which racket you use unless you're going to play competitively

Just remember when you're going to buy one that:
-Big racket heads = power
-Small racket heads = speed

You will notice which ones are big wiill be easier to hit the ball, and you'll have to put less effort in your swing

completly false

Big Racket is for begginers as an oversize because the smaller head size the better timing you need
The Smaller the racquet the better control but if it is based on how good ur timing

The Power is determined by the racuqets weight and strength of the tennis player
