Does anyone know what Schiavone was complaining about half the time? It was about a ball that she 'couldn't' call out or something in the middle of a rally. Would love more details.

Shem, Schiavone felt that one of stosurs backhand slices went out, but she didnt stop the point. And when the ump said, it was too late, you played the point, she replied "what do you expect, the point was too important".

pretty much this, i don't know how she would be expected to judge whether or not to hit a ball back in about a quarter of a second

the linesperson blew the call (ball was clearly out) and schiavone paid for it, i was worried that that would pretty much turn the match, especially after she lost the next 3 games

great match for her though, really couldn't do ANYTHING better tactically, but kind of sad that stosur didn't play better. feel like she went for some of her shots at the wrong time, and those volleys were horrible, almost like her hands were brick or something.

i hope sam wins a slam at some point, preferably RG
