I'm stunned at how well Djokovic is playing. I mean he isn't playing great, but he's been consistent since set 4, which is great considering these conditions and his past 5-set performances in bad weather.

agree impressive but he aint getting far

Lots of 5 set matchs today good tennis

Two American teenagers playing tomorrow

Harrison and Sock next generation of american tennis

djokovic was pretty impressive in the last set, kind of weird considering how shitty he had been up until that point

kind of a lull in the action atm, so here's what i've seen (all since i got back from work @ around 3:30) -

verdasco/fognini - lowest quality match i've seen since... probably one of those french open womens finals a few years ago. i could have probably taken a set off of either on this day, and verdasco isn't going to do shit in this tournament if he keeps trying to tee off w/huge shots (on basically everything) and can't serve for shit

groth/sharapova - didn't see much of this (fognini/verdasco was going at the same time) but it looked like groth was dictating, lots of ball-bashing and going for outright winners, and then the errors got worse and worse as the match went on

james blake actually looked sort of competent, too

benneateau looked good

might switch to nalbandian/de voest since i don't feel like watching nadal or womens matches atm

Djokovic should have just turned it on earlier. He's got the worst mental game out of the top 10 players and it makes me sick to watch him tbh.

agreed

he looked like a rotting corpse for most of the match, and then the sun disappears and he feels like running and hitting deep shots again

unreal

so much for that

he may get the 3rd and possibly even the 4th (v. doubtful), but i can't see nadal losing this

Probably

There's serious problems for Victoria Azarenka on Grandstand, and the 10th seed has collapsed behind the baseline, before being wheeled off the court in a wheelchair. She's struggled constantly today, and Dulko hasn't had to move out of second gear. Dulko wins as Azarenka retires.

sad :(

Well, Tomas played his tennis but Llodra was simply best in his net and volley actions. Serve and volley, i love such a playing in sampras style. That was really good match for 30 y/o french.
